ETABS is used for the modeling of structural systems. Design of the any structure like building, tower, bridge is not sufficient before the actual construction. Civil Engineers should be able to calculate the load that is going to be present on the structure. ETABS is easy to use since it supports GUI based input which is very handy while using the software.

Day 6 and 7: Design of structural members

  • Complete design of structural members using etabs data
  • Design of beam of each floor

  • Concept of minimum and maximum reinforcement required in structural member
  • Concept of economical design

Day 8 and 9: Manual design of members using excel sheet

  • Complete design of structural members using excel sheet
  • Design of beam with full design concept

Day 10 and 11: Safe

  • New model initialization
  • Defining materials
  • Defining column properties
  • Modeling the footing (Isolated, Combined, Strap and MAT footings)
  • Replicating the model
  • Drawing column above the footing
  • Defining load patterns and load combinations
  • Assigning ULT reaction as point load
  • Assigning soil weight in KN/m2
